Yea but she felt like she was taking advantage of his kindness and consideration plus she felt responsible for most of the bad things that happened to him like the poisoning, him getting whipped at the church, his house burning down additionally his mom's death which she inadvertently caused and felt responsible for.
Yeah I get that but she just had to admit she’s scared of hurting him more. He’d at least understand where she is coming from.
I was really rooting for the holy knight, he seemed the most sane but then she goes and lies about purposely killing his mom.
