nothing is worse than two selfish lovers in power but making them gay was the last straw. there was no obstacles in their way (no one opposing their relationship or status or even trying to seek revenge) but they chose to harm innocent bystanders and manipulate the public for what????? useless and ugly ass homosexuals the more i read this the more i was upset at how no one did shit to humble that fucking annoying blond bitch!!
now that that’s out the way, i have a lot of criticisms about the story itself. tbh ash was really lackluster as an mc. her lack of drive or love in anything made her really boring and hard to be attached to. even with her only goal being survival, it didn’t feel solid because she would always intervene at the risk of her life and impulsively at that… yet the only person punished in her stead was others or the queen? minus the time she was hit on the head by the white haired duke, but even then he already knew her and the whole “i hate and love you at once” act was unproductive to the storytelling? im all for unreliable mc’s who have a false sense of self or others, but i didn’t pick up any of this during key points in the story. the concept of this was nice, but the execution went south. i don’t feel attached to sir mio or klein and even when she was seeing them as their own person/relating to them it still felt shallow. however imo the only person she’s shippable with is the magician because he’s always seen her as she is, and even when she’s not telling the truth he’ll believe her! again though, it’s hard for me to even ship her with anyone or root for her when she doesn’t have any long term goals herself or go out of her way to be vulnerable with others. her detached nature to her previous life and loved ones, as well as what she acts like now is what bothers me about her. yes girl give us nothing!
