it's about him being willing to do anything to win. isagi has prioritized his goals now- overall victory is his new ego... allying himself dont mean he gonna let these ppl walk all over him, it means hes gonna let his talents be utilized in anyway he thinks will get him a win. it gives him more control the field and it gives him more options to advance i think
but i also think ur on the right track.. this definitely is a stepping stone to him learning more and eventually score his own goals. we are at square 1 again except now he has recognized his true ego, so the options that gives him should be refreshing??

I understand you would sell your soul to win but I thought the point was to be the best striker? How will you be the best if your just going to let others use you. I'm confused or maybe it's just part of the plan to learn more and later scoring your own goals.
