Despicable.

Well, I don't think I could despise a male love interest more than I despise Kieron. Absolutely the most horrible and monstrous love interest I've read because he 1) lies about his agenda when meeting Briony, 2) investigates her without her knowledge or consent, 3) outs her, which leads to trial and her publicly shamed and life threatened, 4) believes a single letter will justify his actions, 5) doesn't search for her again to explain, 6) threatens to take her son from her for revenge, 7) openly flirts with another woman, 8) embarrasses her in front of others, 9) rejects and ridicules her and her feelings, and 10) whenever possible, he disrespects, mocks and minimises her – even lifting his hand against her.
I, for one, cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can likes this story. Kieron is despicable and the writer seems to find it okay to justify victim blame. Yes, he's a victim as well in his own rights; she, however, apologised for her behaviour towards him – he never did, and he wasn't the one to explain and share his past to her. The fact that he, still, finds it okay to have outed her and destroyed her life leaves me mind-blown and utterly furious. A manga I will never read again and never recommend to anyone!
