he was raised by the military as a weapon.
he's never been shown compassion or value beyond his stats. he had no parents, no mentor, no one that saw him as anything other than an experiment designed to be a weapon. It's frustrating, but the roll of the UK's in this story is going to be key in him figuring out what it means to have feelings. Don't hold your breath though, if this follows the novel it's going to be a long while before he f***ING wakes up.
this changed my perspective, thank you. he doesn't see himself as a human being, but rather as a dog trained by the government to obey every order.
