The difference between revenge and redemption lies in their purpose, motivation, and outcomes:
Revenge:
Definition: An act of retaliation to inflict harm, punishment, or suffering on someone who has caused hurt.
Motivation: Driven by anger, resentment, or the desire for justice (often personal or emotional).
Outcome: Typically destructive, often perpetuating cycles of violence and conflict.
Focus: On external actions directed at others.
Emotional Aftermath: May bring temporary satisfaction but often leaves lingering bitterness or regret.
Redemption:
Definition: The process of making amends, seeking forgiveness, or improving oneself after wrongdoing or failure.
Motivation: Driven by guilt, remorse, self-improvement, or a desire to restore dignity and honor.
Outcome: Constructive, often leading to healing, growth, or reconciliation.
Focus: On internal transformation and rebuilding relationships.
Emotional Aftermath: Often brings peace, fulfillment, and a sense of closure.
In short, revenge looks outward to punish, while redemption looks inward to heal and transform.
I don't feel sorry for the brother nor the ex fiance. Their punishments are even light for me. In the end,the brother wanted to save face. How come he's so cruel on his only sibling while he's good to his friends? Inferiority? Maybe. I hope he was sold to slavery with that Billian, but thanks to his son that he still remain as a prince. I hope there's a side stories where he suffered more and his children disowned him as their father.
