Their dynamics never really changed though?
ML is still kinda doing watever he sees fit, in his very morally gray ways.
MC isn’t inclined to BDSM and is more vanilla, but his issues aren’t with pain, submission, or BDSM directly (if his reactions so far are anything to go by). His priorities lie in wanting to be loved/ valued and he thinks BDSM goes directly against that. Because he doesn’t understand how you can value someone and still want to inflect physical pain on them. So it’s more mental than anything. It makes him feel uncared for. But he has been portrayed as having both submissive and slight masochistic tendencies.
Frankly if we’re to apply irl logic the two should still just break up cuz they’re highly incompatible. Unless MC can learn to not just be okay with BDSM, but actively enjoy and seek it. Or ml magically becomes vanilla which is even less likely. But it’s fiction so… they’ll magically make it work.
He still didn't like BDSM but is.willing to go for it because he loves ML more than he hates BDSM. His issue previously was he's jealous and sort of throwing an adult tantrum with ML. This annoy the hell out of ML because he doesn't understand what's going on. MC self esteem is low, he is willing to cling to ML doing whatever he can.
Mr Han is not so big on words. But he always show with actions when it comes to his feelings. Technically at this point they're both so into each other. The problem is MC is giving himself too much and Mr Han noticed this. That's why he keeps giving MC way out of it.
With them it's like unspoken things lol! I don't know how to explain it but it's mostly like this because of their personality. They're technically so different but so similar at the same time. Like how their personality complements each other. Lee Seodan need someone like Han Juwon in his life to push him in doing something for himself. Han Juwon need someone like Lee Seodan to understand how precious another person is other than just trying to dominate them.
That's why I love their dynamics because it's not black and white. Lee Seodan has his issues and reasonings. Han Juwon also clearly struggling with his issues. Normally story like this won't fare well because it will be toxic. With them, I don't get that vibe and the way it was developed is good. From outsider the relationship looks dysfunctional (like most readers here), but to people who gets it, they get it why their relationship is working.
Yeah imo that's why the story is still compelling. Sometimes they complement each other very uniquely and seem crucial to the other person's growth and other times e.g sex they seem world's apart, although I feel like that could have been mitigated if Mr Han used safe bdsm practices and introduced Seodan to his role, bc he clearly enjoys being submissive to Mr Han, he was just confused... I have my beef with the writer's pacing and plot at times but the characters themselves are at least worth the read
The story is interesting but I still don't get what precisely the issue the MC had with the ML, and how it got resolved... like why did he go from crying and blaming him to admitting his feelings to whatever this truce is... I don't get what even happened?!?? Where did his hatred for bdsm go suddenly. He just screamed at Mr Han once and Mr Han didn't give a real answer so why did their dynamic even change I feel like this story made me dumber
