Right idk cause I've read so many stories they mix up in my mind and start blending into one another.
I just remembered the mc was smart. They were honest with their feelings but they didn't let people treat them like a doormat either. I think they started seeing someone else after giving up and that's when ml got jealous (usually it's just a misunderstanding but here mc had tried to move on fr which stood out to me)

I don't remember the name but it was basically the "mc fell first but the ml fell harder"
It was a sling story where the mc basically had a super mega crush on the ml but he didn't really care or consider the MC's feelings. After QUITE a few chapters of reckless pining and just...embarrassing themselves they finally decide to move on, which is when ml starts taking notice because ofc.
The story ended with ml wrapped around MC's pinky. Not even smitten but the next level of that.
