Yeah I agree, and the fact that he stopped writing that novel feared that it will hurt him it's a prove that he cares and are careful about it, so it's a reason more to not get too upset about it

Not the guy cutting off family for him and he’s still struggling to name the emotions he’s feeling. I get he struggles with emotions but I hope he sorts it out quick.
Also I know this is all leading up to the misunderstanding trope where he’s gonna be hurt by the reason they started hanging out but tbh if it was me I wouldn’t care all that much… idk I don’t think it’s something to get hung up over
