Would have been a perfect story if it didn’t have this one thing.

I read this years ago and it was one of my favourites. I loved the humour between Ewon and Mookyul sprinkled throughout the story, and I overall just loved Ewon’s personality. But the only thing I hate remembering and that stops me from calling this story perfect is the bulls*it plot line of Mookyul and that gross ass old pig.

It was honestly so unnecessary and I feel like the author could have chosen literally anything else to make into a conflict for the characters. The one thing that calmed my anger down was when Ewon found out about them and literally said everything that was on my mind. How sick and twisted the relationship was and how that man couldn’t be considered a father after what he was doing. I also love how Ewon stood his ground and refused to continue a relationship with Mookyul unless he broke it off with that old fart.

I can’t really blame Mookyul for refusing at first because he was a victim and was manipulated into thinking there was nothing with what the old piece of sh*t was doing since he felt so indebted to him (exactly how the piece of garbage wanted him to feel so he could keep him under his control), but damn do I hate the fact that the old predator didn’t face any consequences for what he did, didn’t even feel any guilt or remorse, and just left unscathed.

I really wished that Mookyul would eventually realise that the man had taken advantage of him and started to hate him and then taken him to court so he could rot in hell until he died :( Then he could’ve taken all the old man’s money and companies and ran them with Ewon in a better way. Oh well, I guess I’ll just pretend that plot line doesn’t exist and keeping likening this story purely out of nostalgia, the art style, and Ewon.
