Just finished the last chapter of Muse On Fame. And I'm?? Bawling my eyes out? Like? Did I not expect it? I clearly did. Been reading this one since it first came out and had only seven chapters on webtoon. I usually don't read manhwas with so little chapters and mostly read completed ones or the ones with many chapters because I'm kinda impatient I guess. But for this one I did start when it had two chapters because I fell in love with the art style.
At first I was like imma read a chapter or two because I just wanted to see the art. The intention was to let it marinate until it had enough chapters. But yeah for obvious reasons, I couldn't stop reading it once I started. It's so beautiful. I can't talk enough about this. The story is so beautiful it made me cry every two chapters lol. Also the way it's written so beautifully?? The foreshadowing, the metaphors, the subtle yet obvious remarks. I have said this before and I will say it again, I have never read something this beautiful in my life. I just finished the last chapter and two spin offs (three more spin offs left) and I'm sobbing. It's so bittersweet, so melancholic. I love this so much I don't know what to do about this.
Every character has so much depth, they're all flawed yet beautiful. So morally grey that they can't be called neither protagonist nor antagonist. Everyone has their own story and you can't fully hate them because just like every other person, they're flawed, imperfect. Also the parallels between the movies and their lives? They were so beautifully and meticulously done. Made me wish I could watch those movies in whole too. In conclusion, a masterpiece I fear. I'd give my life to read it for the first time
I hope every Yuhan finds their Myeong and every Myeong succeeds in finding themselves. I'll never move on from Muse On Fame
