My guess is that she's alfeas second wife and shirone's grand mother.
Both alfeas and shirone specialized in light magic.
It could be that his mother or father might be alfeas child.
There is a small possibility that that was the case since shirone is adopted.
Can someone from the novel tell me who really his parents? I don't mind spoilers
