If it's mcs dream I wouldn't bat an eye but MELTIER'S??? does that mean the mc we're seeing is just an illusion in a dream or he's actually inside the dream..

From what I read, it’s not an illusion everything is real but it like the dream is happening on repeat. But no one it’s, they will figure out from the shadows asking the MC about the gap in the world.

So from the way I understand it, none of this is game sorta, it’s all melter dream, they didn’t really get into why MC came to the world but he can’t go back because one he’s dead (he was in a coffin when he first woke up is foreshadowing this) even if they were to send him back, it would only be his soul. As I said before this whole thing is happening in melter dream, everyone you see has died. But it not like it going back in time, it’s a cycle that is repeated do to melter failing to seal the god (the god knew about the plan along). Sine the world lost it good, there losing a lot of resources, so to try to get a large amount of resources the one who created the lamb (he is not the only lamb, he prototype c, if I remember correctly) put this world together and it has been like this for a long time, he sent MC to the world if I remember as a sacrifice, but that didn’t happen because melter got all his memories back and made a plan with the lamb (the holy sword that melter had in the beginning, is not gone, it’s in MC soul, so the sword has two owners, MC and Melter) If I do remember correctly, melter did stab MC to get the sword but he did all this because he wanted and thought that the MC wanted to go back to his original world. (There are some fish that will be introduced that are like the lamb and were created by the same thing) Main point is that they wanted to save the world they have now but everyone had a different idea on how to do that. In the end the fish broke pieces of the world of and sprinkled them in the abyss, as the hoped one peice would grow and the MC (half- might be wrong) was actually like a god, after going through some stuff that I kinda skipped over, the MC was a like a god. So what he did was take those pieces that was in the abyss and make a world with them but filled in all the gaps in the world that was first there and then he finally into the world into melter hands and lived happily ever after, traveling the new world with him and I think his group.

Also the reason melter has something about he failed is because he did fail his mission of sealing the gods away and that crazy holy priest, the prince, and a drug addict kinda, he killed them all. If you remember the tree that lambie showed it each had roots, what I got from this is that when the gods left they need a replacement so the replacement was them and melter but the reason this is all happening is because the power the have is no close to a god so the world is falling apart (I think due to the shadows)

Holy priest is the first person to gain all his memories, and prince gains like half of his memories he lost back, then melter

Wait. lemme see if I got this right.

    1. In the past, Meltier tried to seal the god of their world but failed
    - but y do they have to seal the god?

    2. the ordeal caused the world to be imbalanced
    - thus the world resorted to making meltier's dream into their reality and placed it on a repeating cycle so that the remaining resources aren't used up but recycled/re-used thru each repeat?

    3. The 5-star heroes didn't die because of the said ordeal. Rather, they were killed by Meltier
    - y? In an effort to seal the god?
    - is that his sin? Or is it trying to seal the god in the 1st place?

    4. MC was pulled into their world to.... help fix it somehow
    - and he did eventually help rejuvenate their world by becoming its new god.
He returned balance their world by fixing the "holes" created in the process of sealing the god -> my head canon is that he used the knowledge he gained thru their adventures to fix the incongruities of the world's reality
