It is pretty early for him to appear since he's supposed to be one of the strongest entities in their world (i think ?) But since Kiyoshi is so strong right from the beginning of the manga it's kind of necessary for an equal opponent to appear, otherwise once he conquers his fear of demons (which he's already starting to do) the story would just go nowhere.
Also it did only take 100 souls to summon the demon Lord but it was facilitated by wtv that one guy's name was and he was only able to stay for three minutes so it's a pretty reasonable amount of souls imo
anyone else think its moving p fast? like the demon lord appearing this early kinda scares me, like I would have thought you would need much more than 100 people to summon the demon lord and even so an entire arc could’ve been dedicated to the build up of people planning to summon him
regardless, dont read this and think i dont like the series, i do it’s just an interesting choice to bring up what i assume is going to be the main series antagonist so early. then again he more than likely isn’t going to appear again for a while after these 3 minutes
