this is what i know:
- we find out that richard actually doesn’t want to be the crown prince and has a very nasty temper + he often neglects his duties
- courtney settles into her duty as the crown princess and goes to tea parties :))
- richard is very clingy & wants to go with courtney everywhere
- the emperor, richard’s father, wants to retire and give the empire to richard as soon as possible so he could personally care for his wife’s grave & all that jazz. richard does not want to be the crown prince and would often throw tantrums and vicious fits in rebellion. richard’s aide, anton, was brought in with the explicit purpose to help richard run the kingdom and let’s just say…. he hates his job….
- if he could, richard would just live as a dog that serves courtney’s every whim.
- they fuck… a lot….

in a sense yup. one of the latest ch I've read he made a scheme for attention lil passage from book:
"Richard had promised that if Anton helped just once more, he'd get back to his work. Yet hours later, there was still no sign of him starting anything productive.
More than anything, Anton wished he would put away that peculiar object in his hand. If he was restless, he could at least fiddle with a pen instead.
"Please, just put that thing away," Anton snapped, his voice exasperated.
Richard looked at his aide with a raised eyebrow. His feet propped up on the desk as usual, he held a small silver plug in his hand, a sly smirk spreading across his face.
"Oh, there's someone waiting to put it away for me."
"Ugh!"
Anton couldn't suppress a groan of disgust.
"I don't know what that means, and I don't want to know," he muttered to himself, burying his head back into his paperwork.
