Why are they "unnecessary"? They are both plot points that move the story forward, it wouldn't be the same story if you just scrapped it; so they're, by definition, necessary. Ryuu's sister-in-law specifically was very important to Ryuu's character and conflicts too
AYUMU IS SO FREAKING CUTE !! the story is good but i just don't like how some authors would throw unnecessary shits like getting kidnapped and ml being two timed by sis or bro in law but everything is just swept under the rug. ryuu's sister in law is so shitty for that. and it wasn't even solved. also for the kidnapping !! their chibis were healing me tho.
