Right, after reading what I wrote, it sounded confusing to me too. x)
I'm gonna give an example: In coyote, the uke is werewolf, and the seme is from a family of werewolf hunters. But they fall in love at first not knowing their clans are enemies, and then they find out, and then tragedy x)) basic romeo and juliet trope :p

Yaoi with plots are such a rarity nowadays, it's all about the *** and that gets tiring. But the thing is, in shonen ai you don't get much of the romance. Oh well, even in yaoi you don't get much romance, you jump straight to the "plot" :p

Damnnn gorl u must be a covid reader like me cz we read the same old stuff. Real tho, maybe thats where shonen ai's art is—the romance made u feel like u crave for one and when they give u one, it feels heavenly, thats why i like it yaoi dont yap much, they give plot, seggs, and then realize that they love each other, i mean ik why ur fav is coyote
