That really felt like the case in the previous manga. It really focused on how he found him cute and honestly they were just horned up half the time so even when the confession, it didn't feel genuine or rather, it didn't carry out the heavy emotions that were necessary.
For this sequel however, i felt like it showed more of that sincerity. You don't stay with someone for years and even make plans for the future with them. If by Ryohei character, you would actually feel or show repulse at that type of pressure. Even without you Yuuma there, Ryohei was still thinking and worrying about him. Especially around chp 5, i feel that was the most genuine of an emotion that showed.
I feel like Ryouhei doesn't quite love Yuuma, but instead, he loves the idea, attention and sex he is getting from him, the fact that Yuuma is a pushover and shy person, and lacks the emotional intelligence to see through Ryouhei's actions, the latter was playboy, now he found a plaything that amuse him and satifices him
