Yeah. I was so happy for him un chapter 14, and I wholeheartedly endorse him punching through people's shields like that. I don't think it will ever get old. Also, would that face stealer be like a familiar now? I wonder what form is going to end up taking.

I'm very excited with the ~clone. It can be used in clever ways to escape the persecution or killing attempts. Don't think its a familiar thing though... there's room for betrayal if mc doesn't give an order

We havent seen a pet in the academy so I don't think a domesticated monkey would be a good one
Ah, I wasn't saying it was a familiar, but just comparing the situation. Monster/creature bound by some type of contract either willingly/forcefully tends to be the deal with familiars. I definatly wouldn't trust that thing though, but it definitely can be helpful. I do wonder though why Vermil hasn't considered faking his death and running away with the crap situation he's in. Of course he'd need information first and he might not want to leave his students, but he has the perfect ability to fake a death.
