To sum up, everything is amazing except that the twist made was rather boring and cliche, and the reason why that certain tragedy happened was not sufficient. The author could have made the MC die and then a twist occur: that blonde guy was just the reaper all along or that these two characters have a connection as foreshadowed in the previous chapters.
Second concept: blonde guy ML would offer his life span for the sake of the MC.
3rd concept: the MC died and he became as what the lyrics stated, If the world is ending I wanna be next to you, by lady gaga and Bruno mars.
It would really be amazing if something way more sadder occur in the current event to leave an impression to the Readers. To cliff hang them, then voila! The MC woke up in a hospital with no memories, and the doctor told him that he fell from such heights. The price he bid to the grim reaper was memory. Precious memories.
