anyway I love Rapiel I hope he falls in love and grows old happily with someone that won't treat him like either of these two have.
As for Aeroc and Kloff, I hope they make well of this 2nd life and can... I guess forgive, accept and move on? They've both traumatised eachother a significant amount, I'm very interested in watching this 2nd chance play out.

But I do have to say, there's no doubt that both of them were pieces of shit in the first timeline.
Aeroc, for his noble arrogance and his downright naivety.
Klopp, for his hard headedness and cruelty.
They are very complex characters and I'm just glad that they got to redo their life. The first timeline was a literal hell hole
In fact, I believe people were angry with Kloff because he went too far in revenge. If he killed Aerock or sent him to jail for the rest of his life, I believe the fans would feel satisfied. The problem was that he tortured Aerock for many years, beating him, raping him, making him pregnant again and again, as well as leaving him in false imprisionment, living in precarious conditions, not to mention not even letting him meet anyone of your children.
Ah... I forgot to mention that Kloff didn't do all that because he loved Raphiel. He did it just to satisfy his perverse desires, since he married Raphiel only because he was too prejudiced to marry Aerock (the novel explains this better). I think all of these factors make fans hate Kloff so much.
I think Aeroc gets off easy because his crime was a one and done thing if you get what I mean, not to mention the guy instantly regretted it and didn't actually intent to kill Rapiel. It's easier to defend him than Klopp whose crime spanned over several years + with those heartbreaking povs from Aeroc. Objectively speaking you're right, but it's just easier for people to defend Aeroc's intentions and excuse his foolishness.
I agree with everything said by everyone here, and I do hope my original comment doesn't come off as though I believe Kloff is the lesser evil or had a right to do what he did, he definitely went much too far and I could also tell that revenge wasn't his main goal. I doubt someone could stomach being sexually involved with the person who murdered their partner and unborn baby. Kloff's actions are disgusting and unforgiveable.
Perhaps I really should read the novel and pick up more insight that I did not in the manhwa

Nah I had the same take at first. Especially in the beginning it's easy to just say that they both (are) messed up. Aeroc's ignorance, his attack on Raphael was the spark that set a whole chain of misfortune off - or that's what it feels like until you take a closer look and realize that Klopp actively chose to hurt Aeroc THAT way.

my only questions are, why was there so much hate directed towards Kloff at that capacity while completely overlooking Aeroc? do you all realize Aeroc murdered his literal HUSBAND AND CHILD all because he was JEALOUS???
He drove that man mad with grief and anger. (though I cannot stress this enough, it does not ever excuse sexual assault)
Both of them committed disgusting acts in their past life, with Kloff consistently assaulting Aeroc and keeping his children away from him, but I swore with how everyone spoke so highly of Aeroc and with so much pity that he had done no wrong whatsoever.
