R u sure u talking about the right novel cause all the spoilers I saw didn't mention anything like that at all but they did say that the 2nd ml died (no death mentioned of the mc or ml at all )

I've read spoilers from the old comments before about the novel too, and although I don't remember much of what happened, I still do remember the fact that someone from the main cast died, not the mc. Sorry for the confusion i put in my og comment. I'll go and fix it. Ty for point it out

The ending is pretty sad. One of the main cast dies and it turns out the Mc is the real reason for the destruction of the world. For you people who like happy endings with characters, preferably the all main ones, still alive, then I suggest you move on unless you wanna get depression all over again (if you came here as an ORV fan, like I did when I first read this back then). If you think you're a tough cookie, then go on ahead and read it. Don't say I didn't warn yall.
