Yeah, in korea, they go to the hospital for even just a scratch or a cold. That is how healthcare is accessible to them. And thats probably how their culture is. This is so common in kdramas too
I'm Brazilian and in my country there are free hospitals and emergency services, but for a burn like that I wouldn't even leave the house.
Probably a culture shock for some but in Korea/Japan small clinics are really accessible and you're meant to go in and out quickly for first aid and colds; and it's actually pretty cheap. For minor burns and whatever it's as cheap as $10.
...and also in big cities where it's densely populated, the clinic or pharmacy with one is literally right next door most of the time; no need to drive.

I gave that number based on Western standards (where $10 won't even buy you bandages), but for reference point, it would probably cost the same in supplies in yen for bandages/burn relief medicine. So if it costs the same, and the doctor is next door, then might as well kind of thing? I understand that in countries where the currency value and inflation levels are lower, $10 is a lot. The other thing to consider is IF you do get injured or sick, a doctor's note is required; so since Woojin is a student, the medical note/record would be for his teacher. While for others, it might be for their jobs; etc.

We have that in the US. I don't know how much the avg cost is when you don't have insurance or medicaid. When I go to a minute clinic my insurance covers everything or I pay for the prescription.
