Fr i think Annette has trauma that's at least somewhat relatable making easier to connect with her character. Heiner has some buck wild trauma making him an impossible character to envision oneself through. I think he had a lot of growth this chapter in terms of seeing Annette more fully. Obviously still not great. But growth
I know he isn't good, but everyone here seems to forget that this guy is traumatized, he isn't normal because of what he went through so how could someone like that act normal...plus he already said he doesn't want her to die ( she saw sadness in his eyes while he said that) , he needs a therapist,he is fuck up, completely...so I m not gonna judge those characters , too much happened and personally with both theis situation I wouldn't be able to take it myself and I wouldn't know how I would react myself... very sad and traumatic
