I’ve thought about that possibility too….and just how on theme with this author that plot twist would be. 100% could happen
You know, at least one of them was happy and able to reach their dream. That's better than nothing.
I hoped for Aqua to get his happy ending too, but in retrospect, THIS WAS the ending he wanted. To be able to avenge Ai's death and protect Ruby's future.
Hopefully, when he reincarnates again he'll be able to relax and just enjoy life
