this ending is not good... like it's not even that aqua dying was a bad thing (well it is BAD, but not bad in itself for the plot), but the way it was executed was so unsatisfying and felt meaningless. yeah it wouldn't be realistic if he stabbed himself, jumped into the water and still managed to survive - BUT if that supernatural crow girl was real i don't see why he couldn't have been dragged out of the water before dying or sth
the ending was rushed and it felt disrespectful to aqua, ruby and kana's character arcs specifically. aqua deserved to see ruby performing at tokyo dome, and live a normal life that isn't weighed down by revenge. ruby fulfilling the big dream of performing at her dream stage should have had a bigger OOMPH (and can you imagine dying from a terminal illness in your previous life only to have both your MOM/idol and brother/doctor die in the next ) and poor kana didn't even tell aqua she liked him and got set up by the author by slapping his corpse plsss
