Okay so...

Okay so, how does this change anything on whether he will get terminated from his position? I mean... Can't Mr. Kim's company just back out?
I get that Jay got the rights of the song, but why did he have to sell all his stocks? How does this give him an upperhand to Mr. Kim's company?

Obviously, I'm an idiot and don't understand well the reprocussions of these decisions.

iirc, in previous chapters, Jay says he needs a lot of money to pay for his inheritance tax for the stocks that he would inherit from his parents. so he was planning to use the money Chairman Kim gave him in exchange for his stocks on Dream Production

Honestly i think the same but i believe that he has alottt more cards up his sleeve, also its not just abt the song, its also the amount of penalty fees they would be losing and the lawsuits theyre gonna face

he’s the heir of the H company they were talking about, who’s the big biggest boss here, but he needed the money to pay the inheritance taxes so he sold his stocks. He always had the upper hand even when we didn’t know he had the rights of the song hihihihi WHAT A MAN!!!! i love them crazy like this

Let's say that H entertainment is the big boss since it owns dream entertainment and dream production (like 54% of stocks) .
(So the structure is like this like grandpa (H), father (entertainment) and son (production))
Production (son) wants to become emancipated from the family (this was possible because Jay sold his stocks to chairman Kim, so now chairman Kim owns it, and he did it so that he could pay the inheritance tax for H).
When he did that Production could make it's own decisions but not over entertainment or H. So Production wanted to prove itself and wanted to make it's own movie, but it doesn't own the right to use the song (and they can't change the song because of the contract, in the contract it says that if something is changed even a small bit the rights that they have to make the movie is over) so now Production is fu(ked.
