Just my thoughts but bcs Aono already dead n bound only to Yuri now, Yuri is in a state where she's become a door between dead n alive world. Just like how see in anime where gods need vessel to descend to earth bcs how their power will be limited if not by any medium that can hold them. I think that's what the state they are in now

this might as well be an a24 movie with all the themes of ritualistic romance, pregnancy, and sacrifices relating to century old legends. im lowkey confused and need to reread because what i got from this update is she symbolically gave birth to aono’s physical body, and instead of her being sacrificed (and dying) they both share a singular heart ?
