Can I ask a very fair question? Why are two scan teams uploading the same chapters?

Believing this theory since it happened on another story

    May the better translator win

Well one of the group put up a notice days ago, but the other didn't seem to care so I go with the one that put the notice.

Is there a problem when two or more groups translate the same title? I always wonder... As long as they are independent I don't mind :]

A notice is not a claim. who posts the first chapter gets to claim the series in fan translations. If you don't know this, dont comment on stuff willynilly.
the notices rule only applies to those ripping official chapters and uploading that here, and most of them have an understanding among each other about which series they are planning to claim. it isn't the same in fan translations and mosh frequently ignores other groups' valid claims to post their chapters nevertheless. they did to hazama too earlier with another series.
also i wouldn't suggest reading mosh's ch bc their translation is shit. I saw at least two mistakes just from context, don't even need to see the korean raws to know they messed up.

it's usually not done so. if one group wins the claim, usually other groups have to back down. if they dont well, things are not uh good. and some groups think they dont have to respect the unwritten rules laid down and think a notice will suffice as a claim

I just find it nonsensical, they are all pirates anyway

Well considering how much work still goes into it and the time it takes, makes sense to make rules so that everybody is not wasting their time.

Everyone can decide if they want to waste their time or not :)

Considering a lot of groups have staff members that they share, this keeps the peace. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It's a system that works until you have a group that wants to do what they want

I was scanlating for 5 years in the past and trust me, I know. When you put a notice you waiting for the korean-chinese release. It is not like you put a notice while some one else already works on a chapter, cause there is no chapter. So a notice is the only civil way for not having 3-4 groups working at the same time when chapter is released. Posting the first chapter is not a claim, because most groups post a shitty sfx version and then replace it with the good one. But speed clean is only for groups with sites, that want to profit from ads and lure the readers with famous titles like "Nano machine" and time is of the essence. In FREE scanlating with no profit or ads you respect the other party, and you don't make it a race (only if they put a notice and for example after days of the korean version there is still no chapter). But I remember well groups that were snipping my titles back then and were like "oh we don't care about notices or if you did s1", or people uploading from zinmanga and were like "oh they are 25 chapters ahead what are you doing". And who said notices apply to official chapters only, you? Like the uploader or Roses and Champagne that was raging if someone was trying to put new chapters on Mangago and they left it half done with latest chapter at December of 23? But for the way you speak of someone else's (free) effort, even if I don't know the person or the language I can tell how bad your character is.

Off topic but the uploader never complained about people uploading over they just said that they will mass update it “soon” (and as of this comment they did!) it mostly people in the comments raging at people uploading over them (I should know I was one of the ppl raging lol) because snipers kept putting the shittiest trans they could find and zin trans and then the snipers would get annoyed that people weren’t grateful and delete whatever they uploaded or when mango still had report button the chapter would get reported and deleted

Oh I was thinking about what you are saying and I am so pissed... So, according to your logic, it is OK for 2 or 3 groups that work FOR FREE to start working for 2-3 hours like crazy. And in a quality group you have at TL, a TS, a CL, maybe a smut redrawer, a PR and sometimes a QC also. So according to your "logic" all these people must work like crazy for 2,3 or 5 hours and then if group A posts in 6 hours and group B in 7 group B admin must be like "oups sorry people, damn you work for nothing, let's trash this". Well let me tell you now how are things are done in a civilized world. We had mostly chinese manhuas. We put a notice for a new one. A group with similar titles emailed us and told us "you know, you have this and this, you got the latest that and that. We would like to take this one, can you leave it?". We thought about it and we were like, ok we will take another one next month, no biggie. And we had good relationships from that time on with that group, they never snipped us. We never "speed" or make people work for nothing, and that was actual RULES and civilized behavior. But poor mentality like yours made me mad and I stopped with the whole scanl business. Groups having mod friends at sites and snipping not just titles but even cleaned pages, people uploading MTL with watermarks before our chapters and yelling why that trash site is 25 chapters ahead. Then groups payind for cleaning like 3$ per chapter (hahahaha) and demand you clean a ch in an hour... Yeah I prefer just reading now. But don't come and act like you are the poor, righteous one when you clearly ignored the rules and created your own. Also I didn't see a "reader" (yeah right) from the other group trashing your effort. Another point on who is the righteous one here in this conflict
