The extra chapter with the senpai and kouhai pair could be a standalone manga, because the couple has good chemistry and they are interesting, unlike the main couple, which is more subdued and could be boring to some. I wish the mangaka had used Nagai's lack of ability to read signals and hints to make the story more comedic because it's funny.
