This is kinda spoilers but there was dream he had after something happened and he was in the hospital it showed a baby black and orange fox, and a large white snake the snake saved him and the baby fox so based on those it could literally be either at this point since the season just ended and there is a small hiatus but by the time these translations catch up the hiatus should be near over and the next season will start up
