They followed the plot without changing much but for the aake of fast finish they rushed the most intense and important episodes, which also made the manga bland. Edith's suffering dosage didn't change, what changed is other characters and phasing of things. If you read the novel you'd be mad too but as you wish. The ending of this manga is sloppy, Hella sloppy ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
The manga was following the og plot that's what I'm saying :ddd in the novel Edith is not suffering more , who said that she went through same stuff in manga to what changed is Killians actions (in the novel HE saves her not the princess or f-i-L) every detail is more heartfelt and emotions are well described. Just because manga refused to portray the depths of her and others emotions doesn't mean she didn't went through hard times and she's " happier " , some of you all's brains are just fried at this point cause what am I even explaining right now?
Oh lets tell a story of someone's assault but don't describe the emotions and make them overcome it faster, without further dialogues and time to think. That sure will make them " happier" Does not talking about your traumas and pretending everything's okay ever helped you? Did the rejection of its intensity and averting your attention ever made the past experience disappear? Yeah, next time when you experience something bad, don't tell anyone, don't talk about it, downplay it cause that will make you "happier" (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
(And apparently no one gives a f :d)
Yes, gosh well said ! So many perfect detrimental to the plot details got lost and they turned this story into unrealistic sunshine and rainbows stuff. The whole point of this story was to criticise the plot armour some stereotypical characters have and the next minute they turn around and make it into cliche with their "the MC was saved, everyone was happy, justice was served" general bs anyways genuine advice people : READ THE NOVEL
Damn no need to be bitchy about it. I read the spoilers they locked Edith in a prison and in the manhwa she is in her room. In the novel only ML was there for her and here she has more people on her side. My brain is not fried, ffs. Dont explain shit to me just to feel entitled and insult me on MY post
Personally, I have 2 reasons:
1. It significantlly changed the characterization of Edith, Killian, and Lize (and it's what I liked best in the novel)
2. Emotional impact of the events felt very watered down
I do appreciate that they tried to give more depth to the side characters, but I'm also saddened that the way they did it took away depth from Edith, Killian, and Lize
But, since I'm no writer, I can't really think of a way to prevent that, to be honest
1. Is he wrong lol he was almost useless to Edith during the kidnapping
2. Why are novel ppl unhappy with the changings this is much better??? At least here they care about Edith and she suffered less:(
