I’m glad that people are pointing it out too. I said something about racism with a different yaoi last year (with a white male lead no less) and a lot of ppl were upset. I can agree to disagree about a lot of things in manga but racism is never one
Idk why it’s so hard for authors to draw non-white/East Asian characters without being racist. That said I’m actually super impressed with the comment section. Something like this happened like 2 years ago where the manga was good but suddenly at the end there was this racist ass portrayal or a black man but all the comments were attacking ppl upset rather then the racist art :/
