If I am correct Irene is Catherine of Austria, who was Queen of Portugal. She was a wife of King John III. Her brother was the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. :)

But who did Irene end up married to? They call her Queen but wasn't she the sister of the king? Ik she was supposed to return so she could marry but am drawing a blank about it. Sorta sad we didn't get to see some of Arte's life in those 5 years in court.
