Eh that's normally how it is in most manhua sadly. Only a select few actually manage to properly convey the novel's plot properly.

I was SO excited when I stumbled across this because I enjoy the novel, however I am disappointed in almost every aspect aside from the stunning art. The pacing is to forced and fast, important characters and story events are completely left out, and the amount isn’t just a few. It’s like they dumbed down a darker more interesting and mature (still fun and funny) story into something incredibly childish and choppy. There’s always compromising that needs to happen when changing novels into another form of story telling, however this is not it.
