As a disabled person I understand the dad trying to distance himself. It's hard to think when you're in pain but it's also tough to think about your loved ones being sad that you're sick, and he really thinks he's gonna die. So if he's a shit father he thinks his daughter will be able to "move on" after he dies. He's also not gonna listen bc she's what 5? How would she know about his illness yk? I wouldn't believe a baby either
yes others should try to be in his position. it must be so frustrating for the father too. we do not agree of what he does but we do know where is it coming.
