Either that, or someone reincarnates as the ml in the beginning of the story and does everything he can to make sure mc never ends up like he did and treats him super well, while trying to fight off all the other assholes in the story
You know those transmigration stories where the main character transmigrates to another world and makes the story better by inadvertedly helping the unfortunate soul who got a bad ending? Yeah, this story feels like it needs that. Someone needs to transmigrate as MC's second in command and beat the shit out of ML and give MC a happy ending.
