So im black, i don't think the author is racist, like in some places people of color are loud and obnoxious maybe the author saw this once, you can just say someone is racist without knowing what they probably seen or some shit because hell that can be said about alot of authors who do certain things in their stories. For instance you can call stephen king a pedophile for adding a certain thing to one of his books but because he added that scene doesn't make him a pedophile, so because the author here added a part that was bad doesn't make them a racist.
"in some places people of color are loud and obnoxious maybe the author saw this once" is the weirdest sentence ive ever had the misfortune of having to read, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT SOUTH KOREA?? I'm genuinely asking you, how diverse do you think South Korea is? Now let me ask you who, in a society that values light pale skin, would be at a disadvantage? Now let me ask you do you actually know anything about south Korea?
In a courageous yet ultimately futile effort to demonstrate that the author is neither racist nor misogynistic, some supporters have asserted that "black individuals only know how to yell and discuss racism, relying solely on their racial identity as a defense, without possessing substantial knowledge or a willingness to effect change." They claim that these individuals exhibit a victim mentality and attempt to leverage solidarity among people of color by making statements such as "I am a person of color and I continue to read," as if individuals of color are not capable of harboring the same prejudices as white individuals. It is rather amusing that none of these supporters provided a coherent argument to substantiate the claim that the author is not racist, instead resorting to racist remarks themselves. Regarding the issue of misogyny, I wish that misandry were as significant a concern as some individuals suggest; I would even hope for an increase in misandry.
Sorry for having to write in such a corny way but apparently it's the only way a black person can say things without being called ignorant on an issues they've experienced their entire life, really sad/j
