She is not biologically related to the Addis family. she shares the same mom as the Korean girl who took over her. Her dad is some revered entity from the temple. I won’t get into too much detail since it’s hella complicated but later in the novel, she gets the ability to jump through the past and she actually occupies her own mother’s body while her mom is pregnant with her and her mom is imprisoned by this entity. She meets her dad who is like 20 and visiting the prison and convinces him to get her out. They essentially fall in love after she escapes but she leaves since she has no control over this time jumping ability. I also forgot why but essentially I think she dies through every timeline and he tries rly hard to get her to stay alive and the only timeline she survives is in the one where he adopts her as a baby. But because he lives through so many timelines, has seen her dead so many times, and her not really remembering their past, his emotions essentially die and he becomes this cold robot that we know right now. She also hate fucks her brothers and fucks them to get ahead in society and has no feelings for them. Only after this time skip does she get feelings for the dad.

Hahaha no I totally get it, it’s a lot of info. But I meant her biological dad was a revered entity that the church highly worships (the church that Rafael is a priest of). And he imprisoned Kanna’s real mother (who is originally from korea and traversed different worlds) and made her pregnant (I think they were originally in love, she got pregnant and he imprisoned her). While the mother was in imprisioned and pregnant with Kanna, Kanna jumps in time to this very moment. This is when the head addis dude (allessandro her fake dad) is visiting the prison and she convinces him to get her out. They fall in love (even though she’s technically still in her mom’s body lmao). But the tragic part is that Alessandro essentially lives centuries trying to get back to the Kanna he loves since she always dies in all timelines and never remembered their past. So he’s dead inside emotionally.Only when Kanna jumps to the past does she fall in love with him btw. And yeah she hates her brothers and fucks them only to get what she wants in the story lmao.

Yeah it’s rly original and kinda dark which is why I loved it. I don’t remember the exact details but I think her soul was damaged/broken??? I think she was a special being since her parents were so special (basically a god and a someone from another world) and her soul couldn’t survive for a full lifespan.
