Couldn’t agree more with what you’re saying,Jake’s whole ‘macho mask’ act is frustrating because, by pretending he’s some bad boy gangster, he actually complicates everything between him and Shin. Like you said, why put Shin in harm’s way if he could’ve just approached him honestly from the start? And yes, I think Shin would’ve kept jake’s cop status a secret if he’d just been upfront with him. The way Jake dragged shin into his mess is hard to defend, and it honestly feels like Jake let his ego get in the way. Jake could have just met shin under normal circumstances and gotten to know him honestly, but instead, he chose to involve shin in his undercover work without a second thought for how it might affect him. It really shows how selfish and inconsiderate jake’s actions were he put shin’s safety, even his entire life on the line for the sake of his own mission. And, like you said, he didn’t consider shin’s own feelings or how dangerous this could be for him. Jake’s willingness to throw shin into such a risky situation just to serve his goals says a lot about his priorities, and it’s a huge reason their relationship is as complicated as it is now.
Exactly! And I'm a big JakexShin fan but I do love a good apology and growth montage. Like Jake really has to start having some human growth because we're getting all the emotional pulls from Shin and it's starting to feel one-sided. I personally feel like Jake has yet to really express if he's saddened without Shin, maybe that's the point. Maybe he himself didn't realize how much he was enjoying their time together but like sir you are a grown ass man. It's not hard to put 2 and 2 together and be like "oh I like this man".
He risked not only Shin's life, but his own and his whole teams mission. I was with his captain about kicking his butt off the team. You're playing chess by yourself and not even dropping clues for anyone to follow along. He's his self-centered personality is starting to feel tired some.
Totally, and there’s something else I’d like to mention is jake’s way of showing love is so wrapped up in control, secrecy, and maintaining a tough exterior, and it just doesn’t leave room for any real vulnerability or honesty, that it just feels unhealthy..shin’s the one constantly giving emotionally, being vulnerable, and actually feeling the weight of their relationship while jake’s still hiding behind this mask. It’s almost like jake hasn’t figured out that love requires real honesty and openness, not just a sense of possessiveness or the need for control . It’s such a onesided pull right now, where shin’s putting his heart out there, but jake’s too stuck in his own head to truly give back. It’s hard to see how they can build anything real unless jake learns that love means letting someone see and know your true unguarded self.

Honestly I've been thinking the same thing while the hiatus was happening and now these new chapters are solidifying that feeling. Shin is doing a lot of the inner thinking and expressions while Jake has been quietly teasing him with hints and ideas of who he is. Like maybe he's super into that but as of where we are in the story I'm definitely gonna need some character development from him (just a bit) cause I do like that their relationship is different from other manhwas but that doesn't mean Jake can continue to just be unreadable, a liar, and possessive all at once. It'll start to make us frustrated along side Shin (who technically already gave up on the man...for now)

I don't buy he had no choice, from day one he could have convinced Shin to continue seeing him through regular means (Shin's a normal man, so he knew a good lay when Jake asked for BJ in the parking lot lol).
Sure Shin is attracted to dangerous situations even unintentionally but he never stated he only ever dated people like Jake. I just feel like Jake made up this whole bad boy gangster to impress Shin when no one asked for that which if I was Shin would piss me off too.
Like stop playing games with me and just say your a cop (I trust Shin had no reason to snitch)...Also I know Shin is pissed and his pride is mad hurt but I do hope he understands that being with someone that isn't like you can be a good thing too. But I'm pretty ACAB and Jake proved to me why I still stand by that. Like you don't waltz into this man's life and flip shit upside down and think he'll be okay being your puppet. I hope Jake is prepared to fight to keep Shin safe because if he ends up hurt I'm rioting!
Can we also praise this is the first Manhwa where neither lead has "confessed" yet...80 plus chapter in and we still don't even know if this is Lust, infatuation, like, or love. Sure Shin gave in and stated Jake was the only option and choice but that isn't nothing to a love confession. I'm so down to see how their relationship is developed after all this BS is over
