It’s been a long while since I’ve read this but I feel like you’d like “The beast must die” basically it’s a psychopath love story (similar to this) but the main difference is
Is that the main character is pretty damn smart about it and def not as frustrating as the MC here
I've read bits and pieces of it and it's on my "to read for real" list, for some reason I wasn't as enticed with it.

The tragedy tag on Tourou No Ori always scared me so I haven’t gotten to reading that yet TT

That’s fair from what i remember it’s bit of a slow burn but it’s pretty quality
I would say the tragedy part comes from how dark things get, but it's not exactly "hearthrob" type of tragedy. The story is more "let's explore how black can a human soul can get" instead of "people die, sob, sob".
It does get very dark.
I'm angry but not good what you think. This ashole is a great character, it's refreshing to see a realistic depiction of a psychopath. They're smart, they're charming, they "look normal" until they throw away the facade. There's no empathy, of course.
InSe , on the other hand... Is just a boring doormat. He's just dumb (badly written).

InS is not idiotic in the literal sense, but nothing he does is realistic on any level, even real life doormats do more than mop around just because... C'mon!
I want a better cooprotagonist for such interesting psychopath asshole.
