Most of the angst went to the 2nd make lead imo. The poor guy went through 4 years of suffering, not knowing whether the love of his life was dead or alive. Waiting and suffering for 4 years! When he resigned himself to settle for a new partner, the mc came back! He was still in love with the mc, but couldn't just drop his current partner who he thought was a good guy who's been there for him through all his sufferings, only to discover that his current partner manipulated him into a relationship.
Yeah. So I cried for 2nd ML. He was done dirty in this story. Wish he could get a happy ending too. Preferably with a sweet and devoted partner who loves him more than their job.
I feel like people try to oversell this as "angst" when it's not. It's more of comfort really. There's not enough material to even put it as angst since it's literally just more of comfort than angst. It's like a pat in the head more than someone twisting you heart. People kept saying that this is heartwrenching but it's really not at all. On the angst scale, it's like a 1 to 1.5.
I also hate how people tend to overdramatize youngwoo and kwon's ex-wife's role here. Someone was saying sht about how youngwoo knew that yoon was alive when he didnt, and that kwon's ex-wife wanted to ruin kwon's and yoon's relationship but she didnt. Like I need yall to stop with the misinfo about this. It's a good story but yall dont need to oversell this and paint it something it's not. You can just say it's a rather comforting story and offers a rather calming perspective to love and moving on. That's it. It's not overdramatic, there's nothing grand but it's nice and calming. Dont make it something it's not.
