I forgot now since it's been a long time, but im pretty sure she was trying to convince Mitsuki to go with her to the states. And there was this moment when Aya felt extremely worried about it. So im guessing that's what she meant by leaving- she saw that someone needed Mitsuki there, and Mitsuki needs that someone too.
