I also don't agree her words should be spoken and I feel sympathy to BOTH kids but why not talk instead of action? Why does it have to be resort to violence to shut them up?

She is so jealous of Fumi because even though she can't accept her adopted father, Fumi gets along great with his family even though they are not related.
