More accurately, he has this weird phase where he flips between two different selves. IIRC at night he's his normal self (so the Sovieshu who knows he's divorced Navier, that Rashta died, and believes Glorym is dead) and during the day he's the Sovieshu he was when he was 19 or so, around the time he and Navier got married. The Sovieshu from back then was very proud, confident in his relationship with Navier, and thought his current self was an idiot for just about everything his vassals told him he did + happened. The Sovieshu at night basically cleans up after the stupid things Day Sovieshu does (i think he tries to contact Navier, and also goes investigating about what happened because his vassals won't tell him absolutely everything/he doesn't believe what they tell him).

The translation i was reading isn't finished but the spoilers i read from past that point say that Glorym ends up growing up with a commoner family, she dyes her hair black as silver hair carried a bad reputation after Rashta. Apparently Sovieshu tracks her down eventually and explains a lot to her but she's not really interested in him. I believe it's never properly cleared up as to whether Ergy was telling the truth and she really was Sovieshu's daughter, it kind of just gets left up in the air apparently.
