I won't say that childbirth doesn't wear a woman out, but real childbirth doesn't always consist of women screaming like a banshee. Every woman has a different level of pain tolerance. Some women will scream. Some women will try hold in their discomfort while giving birth. Some women are so comforted by the presence of their significant other that it can actually take away some of the pain which I think the author was trying to covey here. I know our confirmation biases tend to revolve around our personal experiences, but women are just built differently.
Recently saw some new moms....they were in shock...like I can't believe this typa shock...ik this is a fantacy manhwa but like I was happy at the little realism ..but how is she like so chill bro like is smiling and talking while pushing...how is she TALKING...you can't do anything but scream at that time.....idk I guess that shoked me a little
