He is hypersexual because he has a lot of past trauma when it comes to relationships and sex. His ex, apparently his professor, and more recently Vercion, hurt him badly. Having a lot of sex or “letting” the abuse happen to him (in certain scenarios with Vercion) can make him feel as if he has control of the situation, control of his own body, that which others have taken from him. He’s taking it back.
