But he was completely aware of the set-up and went with it bc it's was his ex wanted. He just played along as you said but didn't kiss or sleep with anybody, he was never interested in mini so I don't see how's that cheating.
If he had decided to cheat to give a reason for breakup to his ex I'd agree with you, but it's his ex who wanted to break up and didn't want to lose face.

Nah, the red hair is still scum. Even if the FL was "just a reason to break up" for the girl that hired her, he still went and cheated. Now if he didn't go "along" with it, and then all of this (the story) happend, then sure i would be on his side, but this, NAH!!!
