I don’t count that as an actual consequence if he genuinely doesn’t give af. By that logic, everyone would have consequences since all of them will be reminded of being with someone or betrayed. It really doesn’t make sense for a consequence to be something you only think about lmao, that’s what consequences are.
And he clearly did not give af. Otherwise he would’ve stayed mad or sad and left. Instead his reaction was the usual unserious type. I would think he truly lost feelings for the mc anyways at that point so that’s why he didn’t care that much,

Agree. So while I do think the plot, MC and ML are fucked up, the side characters aren't ok either. I mean, if we see carefully, the most problematic ones are the alphas. They ruined the omega's life as well as the beta's (about 70% since the omega and beta have their own thoughts but still)
I reread the side chapter 1 and realized that the professor was raped in his sleep as a middle schooler by the one person he was close to at the time. I forgot so I thought they were at least mutually doing it, but nah- he didn’t even know what happened to his own body?! You can hate the professor as much as you like, but dang that’s real messed up.
Anyways you realize that there’s no consequence to any single character in the story. No consequences for the two cheaters (beta and mc), no consequence for the omega, no consequence for the alpha side dude, and no consequence for the deadbeat alpha dad
