Sexual and aesthetic preference. Some people want to see specific sexual dynamics between certain character settings.
Some people conflate positions during intercourse with sexual dominance or personality which can be annoying- if not concerning for how they evaluate media and characterize people- but seeking out those sets of tropes is not an inherent indication on whether their understanding of these traits is problematic.
There is something to be said about *how* people express their discontent though.
Disappointment is one thing, but entitlement is another.
"I wish A topped B." vs "The author *should* have made A top B."
If people can't be considerate, they could at least not comment publicly.

*Some people conflate positions in the bedroom with *overall* dominance or personality...

Sex positions are neutral traits with no correlation with personality.
However, they still influence how people enjoy watching or participating in sex.
People have preferences for seeing certain personalities/appearances (character settings) in certain positions, and as long as they don't think having a certain personality/appearance EQUATES to a certain position, all is fine.
Why do some people care who's top or bottom? It's just sex positions lol
